The vast majority of people can be hypnotised. If you’ve ever been really absorbed in a good book or film or carried away in a daydream you can be hypnotised. People who are under the influence of drink or drugs or have learning difficulties are the main groups of people who may not be able to achieve that state.
I can’t guarantee that hypnotherapy will work for you- noone can or should – but I can guarantee that if you’re really motivated to change then it can help you focus and visualise that change and tap into your powerful unconscious skills to help you achieve what you want to.
You are completely in control during the session. All hypnosis is self hypnosis . Although we are working with that more creative , receptive part of your mind, your logical ,conscious part of your mind is still absolutely there – but toned down from it’s natural state. You can open your eyes at any time and will never do or say anything that you would find unacceptable in your everyday life.
At the start of each session I will have a chat with you. I can then personalise each session and repeat back to you what you want to achieve under hypnosis.
You will be aware of what’s happening during the session. Sometimes your mind is working very hard, and elements of what I’m saying may be vaguer than usual. You might find that you don’t remember some parts of the session in detail. Your unconscious mind will take what’s important from the session without you having to analyse or try to remember what you experienced.
